I've been thinking a lot recently about all the daily choices I make regarding things we buy for ourselves and our home. It's hard to even estimate how many different products we use every day. Then there is the Mighty Internet with so much information pouring on us from every direction (thank you, targeted marketing), and as always we need to look somewhere in between loud headlines, pushy reviews and expert opinions. Yes, there is a lot of science and research behind many things we read, but as creatures of critical thinking we have to question all of it. That's how the science works, right?
It is definitely not easy to change your habits, routines and all kinds of preconceptions. So I made a decision - start small. First, I tried to identify the most used products in our daily life and then look for more sustainable and enviroment friendly options if it is not already so. Now, here is the "revealing" truth: we don't need half the stuff we buy. In some cases even more. And I intend to work towards the other side of my shopping cravings: quality over quantity. Because most of the times - less is more.
After many hours of searching and researching I put together a list of things that are different from what I usually choose. So, here are some things I found worth of trying first. And if you are like me just starting this journey, maybe there will be something interesting for you too.
