How do I love my gifts? Right, unexpectedly expected! I started to make these little lists and collages, because it made it significantly easier to see what I really like and want for those who wishes to show some love for me. I still can't figure out if my preferred love language is gifts or not, because who doesn't like gifts? I value the intention and thoughtfulness of such gestures even more, when someone takes time to think about me.
Of course, by creating the visual presentation of my desires is in itself a manifestation of the life I want. And sometimes I put together a vision board that includes all the things I dream about. But that is for the bigger picture and not for all to see. Designing all my weekly favorites and gift guides I simply share my love for beautiful things (with the splash of silent hints).
I am a believer that you don't need the special occasion or a perfect time to share your love, gratitude or appreciation. I just love to see that mischievous twinkle in the eyes of people who worked a little magic and managed to orchestrate the perfect moment of surprise. We all can forget to live in the moment and think in terms of making plans and living in the future. I remind myself to cherish not only the dreams on the vision board but also the moments of spontaneity and adventure that add a splash of color to my beautifully chaotic life.
